Solar Shield uses non-nano zinc oxide as its mineral UV filter — a broad-spectrum mineral that sits on the skin's surface to deflect UV rays rather than absorbing into the bloodstream like chemical filters. Non-nano means the particles are large enough that they don't penetrate the skin barrier, making it a cleaner, safer choice for everyday use.
A Deeply Nourishing Base
This is where Solar Shield truly stands apart from conventional tinted SPF products. The base is built on:
- Grass-fed beef tallow — deeply compatible with skin's natural lipid structure, delivering lasting moisture that doesn't evaporate
- Kokum, mango, and shea butters — a triple-butter blend that adds richness, softness, and a velvety finish
- Sunflower, jojoba, and argan oils — lightweight oils that absorb quickly and balance the formula
